I have oily skin on my face but my cheeks are red and sometimes the skin looks like it will peel.. why?
What condition do I have? If I scrub with an exfoliator my skin just goes bright red. I'm not sure what to do.
Can anyone help?I have oily skin on my face but my cheeks are red and sometimes the skin looks like it will peel.. why?
I had the exact same problem.
Solution: Your skin is very dry, so put some moisturizer on it!
Don't be to harsh on your skin either, scrubing with towles etc. can cause redness.I have oily skin on my face but my cheeks are red and sometimes the skin looks like it will peel.. why?
It may be eczema. I would avoid exfoliants ( because they obviously irritate your skin. Change to something that is mild (sensitive skin) maybe dove or oil of olay facial cloths. Then use a good creamy lotion afterwords like vitamin e (comes in a 2 pk jar at Wal-Mart.) I too have oily skin but certain cleansers irritate my face and leave my cheeks chapped and peeling. This is how I clean my face. It works well and I never get the red irritation with these products.long hair

Is a tinted moisturizer good on oily, acne prone skin? Will it cause pimples?
I'm fourteen and I don't want to use a foundation because I'll break out, I just want an even skin tone. I'm sticking with a tinted moisturizer until I get bare minerals, will it cause pimples? Is a tinted moisturizer good on oily, acne prone skin? Will it cause pimples?
Look for something that says ';non-comedogenic'; or ';wont clog pores'; If it does not say either of those, then watch out :) Try neutrogena they are usually good.Is a tinted moisturizer good on oily, acne prone skin? Will it cause pimples?
it can cause an out break its lighter than foundation, but it will not five a good even coverage like foundation, if you do use a foundation use an oil free one like elizabeth arden or corn silk do an oil free one too. there are many on the market.
when using any product that contains moisturiser it can cause outbreaks because it contains that in the ingredients, alcohol dries the skin out, oily skin even though a pain to us is actually the best skin to have as it ages slower than normal, dry, combination skin.
Use a face mask 3 times a week, molton brown is very good for oily skin.
Cedarwood - good for acne conditions and oily skin
路 Clary Sage - aids excessive sebum (skins oil) production and helps reduce inflammation
路 Geranium - balancing effect on sebaceous (oil) glands
路 Lavender - powerful regenerative oil, antibiotic, antiseptic, and promote the prevention of scarring
路 Sandalwood - a very soothing and strengthening oil, contains antiseptic properties to help control bacteria, is excellent for acne, and works to reduce excessive sebum production
路 Tea Tree - powerful antibacterial and antiseptic, good for acne conditions
路 Ylang Ylang - helps balance sebum secretion, good for toning excessively oily skin.
Other oils to blend with that are beneficial to oily skin are: bergamot, chamomile (for its anti-inflammatory properties), grapefruit (beneficial to congested skin), lemon, lemongrass, mandarin, petitgrain (good for oily hair too), and violet (will be more expensive, but good for oily skin).
Grapeseed oil is an excellent base oil, which is great for oily skin.
The brand I use does not it's got all natural things inside -
I love it - I use and suggest the brand new line from Arbonne -
F Y I for young individuals - it's for 12-22 year olds (but at 39 I am sold on the tinted moisturizer) it does not make me break out (and I do with PMS) -
It's actually better for you because it's light and won't clog your pores like foundations can. Put on only as much as you feel you need to. You should be fine!
If you have acne prone skin, you should read the reviews on Amazon.com re: Bare minerals before you go and spend all that money on it. It's not recommended for people that are prone to break outs. And, yes you can use a tinted moisturizer, just make sure it's oil free and has SPF. I have the same problem and this is what works for me.

You can call a dermatology physician's office and ask if they'll recommend something (DML is one). Also, the brands in these answers are good and Dove. Before you spend a lot to find your perfect moisturizer, try the brand websites and get a free trial. Dove and Olay will send them in the mail. Glycerin soaps are good too. Regular soaps have lye in them which will dry your skin.
Don't Go to the make up counter without me is the name of this book, author Paula Begoun reviews and rates a multitude of products from more than 200 make-up and skin-care lines Begoun, who includes medical journals, cosmetic industry reports and the FDA among her research sources, provides comprehensive information on the common ingredients found in moisturizers and other skin-care products. In her reviews, she discusses effectiveness, possible risks (e.g. skin irritation) and whether or not an item is worth its cost. Given its scope, the book may be overkill for someone who simply wants to learn about facial moisturizers. In general, however, it's an excellent resource for regular users of cosmetic products. Begoun has good things to say about Neutrogena's Healthy Skin Face Lotion and Anti-Wrinkle Cream (but not the SPF formula, which doesn't protect from UVA rays), and Olay Total Effects and Complete UV Protection. Many of Begoun's reviews can also be found on her Web site (http://cosmeticscop.com)
Get the Hydrating Creme Concentrate from Bee-Luscious! It has NO oils. This is not a moisturizer. It is a hydrating cream. It never feels oily or greasy. You put it on and rub it in and that's it. It absorbs into your skin, not just sit on top. FYI, It is VERY concentrated so just put a little on your fingertips to start with otherwise you'll get too much. It comes in a little jar and will last you about 2-3 months if you use it everyday!

Don't use anything over the counter unless your dermatologist recommends it. If you don't have a derm, then pick a moisturizer that is: Non-cometogenic, hypo-allergenic, fragrance free and meant for your face. All dormer 211 creams work for this very well and can be found in all pharmacies (www.dormer.com). Your skin is getting oily because it needs to moisturize itself. You can avoid that by using the right product every day and after you wash your face, as well as over night. The right product makes a huge difference. All dormer creams are amazing and they are recommended by derms across North America.
Chances are, your cleanser is too harsh. When you dry your skin out, it overcompensates by producing too much oil.
Mary Kay has an amazing cleanser and moisturizer for oily skin.

Believe it or not. Walgreens makes a great vitamin E cream that is cheap and it has as much E in it as lotions costing 60 dollars. I have used it for 2 years and can really tell the difference. It is scented, but its a light foral scent. It does leave your skin feeling moisturized but not greasy
clinique, any of them. they're brilliant.
Mary Kay stuff is the best. Just ask a local consultant to recommend which product would be best for you. It's worth it.
Try not washing your face with any chemicals for about a week. It works.

What is the best products for oily skin? Make up and cleanser, astringents?
If you use astringents and toners they dry out your face and then your skin can produce more oils to make you break out.
Wash your face no more than 2x a day with a gentle cleanser than moisturize (I love Clinique dramatically different moisturizer) Exfoliate and tone no more than 3x a week. I use apricot scrub and witch hazelWhat is the best products for oily skin? Make up and cleanser, astringents?
for oily skin, make sure to use a good cleanser, toner and moisturizer. ones that worked for me are:
merle norman normal/oily foaming cleanser $19, aha normal/oily toner $14
and
avon anew retroactive+ 2in1 cleanser and toner $12
toners work to remove any cleanser residue and refine pores. you should also think about a moisturizer made for oily skin. while you may think you do not need one because your skin is oily, remember that moisturizers adds water that is essential to your skin's health.. it does not add oils. and when using products for oily skin, it is necessary that you add water through moisturizer so that the drying ingredients in the cleanser and toner do not ';overcorrect'; your skin and dry it out too much, which can then lead to increased oil production and acne.
for makeup, here are a few options that have worked for my oily skin even in the hot florida summers:
merle norman lasting foundation $26
avon perfect wear extralasting foundation $10
mark powder buff natural skin foundation $8

for a cleanser...Cetaphil cleanser for oily skin (green label), cetaphil is made by a company which also produces over the counter acne medication. Try not washing your face so much a day, it strips the skin of its natural oils making your skin produce even more oil,try to stick to 2ce a day morning and night. Be careful about astringents, they strip away a lot causing your body to produce more oils. And skip the moisturizing part unless your skin gets dry too, people with oily skin do not need moisturizer on their face it already produces it on its own.
It maybe a good idea to see a dermatologist or just go to some beauty salons to see a therapist and have a facial to see whether or not your skin is really the oily type or whether its just dehydrated and therefore producing too much oil as a result.
Try not to use products that are too harsh like the clinique moisturisers for oily skin. Though, if you have really oily skin it does reduce shine more than normal thicker heavier moisturisers. A good product is the kind of powdery textured matifying creams that you can buy from lancome/clinique (many brands make this type) that you can use on top of your make up, or by mid day on your skin to reduce shine.
I have a problem with oily skin too but I find that going for hydrating facials really help, and also drinking plenty of water. Good luck!
bare minerals make up is good for oily skin
also i use avacado scrub to wash my face
Wash your face no more than 2x a day with a gentle cleanser than moisturize (I love Clinique dramatically different moisturizer) Exfoliate and tone no more than 3x a week. I use apricot scrub and witch hazelWhat is the best products for oily skin? Make up and cleanser, astringents?
for oily skin, make sure to use a good cleanser, toner and moisturizer. ones that worked for me are:
merle norman normal/oily foaming cleanser $19, aha normal/oily toner $14
and
avon anew retroactive+ 2in1 cleanser and toner $12
toners work to remove any cleanser residue and refine pores. you should also think about a moisturizer made for oily skin. while you may think you do not need one because your skin is oily, remember that moisturizers adds water that is essential to your skin's health.. it does not add oils. and when using products for oily skin, it is necessary that you add water through moisturizer so that the drying ingredients in the cleanser and toner do not ';overcorrect'; your skin and dry it out too much, which can then lead to increased oil production and acne.
for makeup, here are a few options that have worked for my oily skin even in the hot florida summers:
merle norman lasting foundation $26
avon perfect wear extralasting foundation $10
mark powder buff natural skin foundation $8
revlon colorstyfor oily skin foundation $10

Make sure you wash your face esspecially around your nose and fore head from my experience! Just make sure you wash your face 2-3 times a day maybe when you wake up, when you get home from school and when you go to bed. I hace also heard that stress is a bigtimer for oily skin. It could just be a rumor though. Also you may want to look some products up online to see their ratings and stuff of how they helped other people(not celebs) What I use is a proscribed facial wash from my doctor so you may want to ask yours about it! good luck! also you can contact me at reesespenutbuttercups1@yahoo.com oh and yes i know that i spelled peanut wrong! lol

this might sound totally 'wtf' to you but believe me it works.
USE MOISTURIZER!
your skin is producing oil because it isn't getting enough moisture.
the first couple days you will be a little oily, but after that your skin will get use to it and the oil will become less and less.
I know you must be tried of that oily, shiny look...don鈥檛 worry even I had a same problem...these are some tips that I picked up and found useful...
Apply the mixture of honey and milk on the face. This will make your skin glow...cut thin apple slices rubbed onto ur skin...will help in controlling oily shine.
Also, treatments like salicylic peels which are oil control skin peels when taken once a month. Some of the skin clinic like Kaya has these treatments...infact there are specialpackages they have come up with for a flawless, looking skin...
Also, use some smooth gentle cleanser to wash your face Clean your face atleast two times a day...n don鈥檛 forget to remove all ur make-up before your sleep... try this and tell me how you find it
I have found some good tips in following link, It may be good for you too

Help with slight acne breakouts and oily skin?
I don't have all-over-the-face acne, to say the least, but I DO get breakouts on my face a lot. It's almost always around my mouth;;
On my chin, to the side of my lips, and above my upper lip just below my nose, and occasionally to the sides of my nose under my eyes.
I'm positive it's due to my excessively oily skin. I wash it in the mornings and at night, I wash my face thoroughly in the shower, apply proactiv, and also use a dove vibrating cleanser.
I do the vibrating cleanser in the morning again to clear off oil that may have accumulated on my face overnight.
However, when I'm at school, my face starts getting super oily again, and when I try to dab the excessive oil off with tissue, it seems to just make it really dry, and gross feeling.
My question is, how do I get rid of the oil without drying my face out?
How do I get rid of gross blackheads on my nose and chin overnight? (I've done it somehow before.)
And how on earth do I get rid of these embarrassing red zits that form whiteheads quick??Help with slight acne breakouts and oily skin?

Can Accutane also take away the oily skin?
i know its good to have oily skin, i guess, but i have TOO MUCH. it pisses me off cuz its so nasty and ugh! i cant even put my face in the sun cuz it just shines from the oil, yuck. im on Accutane right now and ive been on it for a week so far. i was jus wondering if it will also take the oily skin away? Can Accutane also take away the oily skin?
Yes. That's basically how it cures acne. Be patient.
Accutane (its generic name is isotretinoin) is a drug derived from vitamin A, and is taken orally. It essentially stops the oil production in your sebaceous glands (the oil-producing structures of the skin) and literally shrinks these glands to the size of a baby's. This prevents sebum (oil) from clogging the hair follicle, mixing with dead skin cells, rupturing the follicle wall, and creating pimples or cysts. Normal oil production resumes when treatment is completed and the sebaceous glands slowly begin to grow larger again, but never (or at least rarely) as large as they were before treatment.
http://www.cosmeticscop.com/skin-care-fa鈥?/a>Can Accutane also take away the oily skin?
Yes, it really will.
Accutane inhibits the secretion of sebum in your sebaceous glands, so that little to no oil gets out, and thus it's used as an acne treatment.
I've been on it and it got to the point where I wasn't making oil in my hair either and my eyes and lips were getting dryer too. But it was worth the necessary moisturizing, eyedrops and chapstick, because my face cleared up and my skin never looked greasy.
Now that I'm off it, my skin produces oil normally, but I bought some blotting papers to attempt to deal with that issue.
Good luck and I hope my answer helped you!
accutane dries ur skin out like craaazy. plus it makes u dehydrated so u have to drink lotsa water. ur face will start to become dry later in the month so just waitlong hair

What products are good for oily acne prone skin?
I am an African American woman and in my thirties what products are good for my skin? I would like to maintain hydrated, clear complexion. What products are good for oily acne prone skin?
If you鈥檙e looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne鈥?prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action.
Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it鈥檚 advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past!
Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.
Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.

You can get great skin naturaly, from home.
If you want natural, at home stuff, you have got to read this book. I had skin problems, for years. It really pissed me off that I should have been more popular, except for the pimples. I am smart and funny, but they just ate away at my self-esteem. I was determined to get rid of them by hook or by crook.
I tried a whole bunch of things like proactive and others but nothing seemed to work. I tried a few different books and e-books and nothing helped. Then, I read an awesome e-book that will teach you all the home remedies that you will need to get rid of acne permanently. At first I thought it was too expensive, but then I realized that I pay this much like every month for pimple medicine and washes, and this was a one time thing. Best decision I ever made! Not only did it help me stop getting pimples, it also helped clear up my old pimple scars, which were really pissing me off!
You can learn about the book at this link

I tried some books from my dermatologist, but they didn't help me, plus I kept on forgetting to return them to the library. The best thing about the e-book is that I downloaded it right away, and i had the copy forever.
I use ProActiv. All the hype is true, it's a fantastic product.
There are many cheap and effective home remedies for acne. Tomato slices, turmeric, papaya juices and home made face packs will treat existing pimples and prevent further problems.

noxema, wash morning and night.
I use Aveeno facial scrub and lotion. It's a bit expensive, but it's a great product.
I'm fair skinned but have really oily skin with spots, i am in my late 20's and know how you feel. I thought i'd grow out of it but that hasn't happened. I'm in the UK so don't know if you can get it but try to look for something with willow bark in it, it works wonders. good luck

It doesn't make sense and give it an answer send it back when edited.
water softener and nutregena
no grease or cholesterol enhanced foods
sometimes a gall bladder or thyroid problem can cause this
But if you are a teenager
then stay off burgers and fries
no Coke and Pepsi
Get a good cleanser and use it religiously but one that's not over drying
or it will aggravate those glands into producing more oil on skin surface
nothing to clog pores is recommended and stay clear of Noxema products as pediatricians are firm believers in that the brands ingredients causes more acne
You may need an antibiotic to get them healed.
If you don't want to go to the doctor then at least get the triple antibotic cream and use until they get well.
Try this simple remedy. Wash your face twice a day in warm salty water. This should leave your face oil free without aggravating the acne like soap. The secret of keeping the skin clear is to keep it oil-free and clean. Check out http://useinfo-acne.blogspot.com/ for more useful info.

How can I have less oily skin?
Is this pertaining to your face or body skin? How can I have less oily skin?
For the face.. Wash your hair at least 3-4 times a week because greasy hair increases spots, grease and oil on your face.
Also splash some cold water on your face in the morning.
(it only happens when you have your hair on your face and when you sleep)How can I have less oily skin?
Use MAC oil control lotion after you was your face 2 times a day.
make sure you wash your skin reagulary and do not use any kind of lotion on your face.
thats no going to do anything but make it worse.
Always take a shower. Also try to ask someone at the store and they will help you
Good Luck!
cetaphil is a really great face wash. you should try it.
hi
I would advice you to try some home based remedies for skin ,hair and weight problems, this link has some good information it sure did help me so here goes,

good luck
Use a toner made out of strawberry, tomato or lemon juice. It is a great astringent for absorbing all your oil after cleansing. There are many wonderful cleansers, Like St. Ives Apricot Cleanser. A non-pore clogging moisturizer is great for repairing after cleansing and makes sure that your body doesn't overproduce oil. Clay masks and apricot scrubs are a godsend for my acne and I love it! Try weekly oil reducing treatments with rubbing a cucumber over oily areas.Make sure to wash off your face after applying any home-made concotions.
Eliminate as much oils and fats as possible from your diet. No deep fried foods of any kind. When frying anything measure the oil in teaspoons. After awhile, you'll notice the difference and feel a lot better, too.

What is the best makeup to use on Oily & Acne Prone Skin?
I have oily lids, skin and I breakout at least once a week i have a lot of scars. What brand of makeup is the best for me?What is the best makeup to use on Oily %26amp; Acne Prone Skin?
Think of your skin as a canvas you are about to paint on. That being said, the best thing you can do for your acne scarred skin is to prep it for the paint you are about to put on. I like using Smashbox primer (green for the redness in my skin). And for oily and acne prone skin I like to use Prescriptives Virtual Matte foundation. And the best loose powder I've used for my crisco face is Make Up Forever loose powder. It keeps the oilies at bay and makes my skin look great.
You might want to look into natural products for your skin care. If you are having acne prone oily skin it may be the skin care routine causing the problems. I recommend Desert Essence face wash and moisturizer. My face has loved me ever since I switched from drug store brand products, which mainly has ingredients that are bad for your skin to begin with. Look up www.zerozits.com to see which ingredients are in the products you use now that are bad for your skin. I was surprised and the stuff I used and switched completely to a natural skin care routine. I haven't regretted it since. What is the best makeup to use on Oily %26amp; Acne Prone Skin?
i have oily skin , and i dont break out as often as you do . only if i eat certain foods , or am really stressed out or something .
i use maybelline mineral powder , its really good . it doesnt soak up the oil , to make it look like an oil spill on your face . it makes your face have a healthy glow :]
i also reccomend using oil blotting sheets , :] !
i have urban decay surreal skin mineral make up and its better than bare minerals :) its amazing...give it a try! it makes it seem like you don't have foundation on and it has great converge..truly natural and it gives you a flawless looking finish!!
haha sry i forgto to tell you that urban decay also has an amazing oil clotting powder that gives you an amazing finish!! i forgot the name but it works!! visit their store online! its called something like ';matte finish'; or something like that. it comes in a purple container and its awsome. good luck :)
I鈥檝e found that after I started using make-up, my face has cleared greatly and it provides great coverage for my break-outs.
CoverGirl Clean Makeup Oil Control: ~$6.00
CoverGirl TruBlend Pressed Powder: ~$8.00
definitely a mineral powder foundation. you can also get oil blotting sheets and periodically use them throughout the day, almost every girl at my school uses them and they seem to work. : )
Mineral makeup is definitely the answer. I have that type of skin and use Loreal Bare Naturale, I couldn't go without it!
I'm not sure but i bet you can just Google it or something.
Bare Minrals is suppose to be excellent for someone prone to breaking out.

Is mineral makeup good for oily skin?
I have combination skin...my t-zone gets very shiny and oily and I usually need to touch up a couple of times a day. I don't have acne but my skin does get minor breakouts once a month. I know that mineral makeup is supposes to be good for the skin and actually soothe and heal it. Unfortunately I tried Bare Escentuals and am one of the few people who were not impressed. It looked thick and cakey and shiny. I don't need foundation like coverage because my complexion is good. I just need a powder. I searched it on sephora and there are a lot of brands that make mineral makeup now. Are there any suggestions as to which are good for oily skin? ThanksIs mineral makeup good for oily skin?
i have oily skin i was also not happy with bare essentials it was to thick and didnt match my skin tone AT ALL!! but yes mineral make up is alot better for your skin because it does not clog your pours. I am now using Dechant Sheer Minerals which is AWSOME plus i wash my face with CETAPHIL Daily Facial Cleanser it makes my face feel SOOOOOO CLEAN try it it works for me. =)
here is the website for the makeup

I tried a mineral make-up and I ended up with more shine to my face. I just stuck with a liquid foundation followed by the old tried %26amp; true ';Cornsilk Oil Absorbing Powder'; that comes in a matte finish.
You can consider using miho makeup series, 2 way foundation and base colour. It has very smooth texture and helps to moisturize the skin. The miho base colour acts as a moisturizer before you put on the miho powder.
Product available online and not sold in any departmental store.
I like the Neutrogena Sheer Minerals Powder. It's very light and Neutrogena products are know for being very gentle and healthy for your skin. It gets rid of the shine and oils and is very sheer. You could also try using their toner after washing your face to help remove excess oil from your face before applying any makeup.
Ohhh! I had the same problem.I use Physicians Formula Loose Powder, because it's very light and easy! Try it!
It's $9 at Target, CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, and some other conveinience stores.
HIGHLY recommended! Hope this helped!
Try Bare Minerals. That should help alot.
Have you tried bare minerals? I love thiers, it is at the qvc site, and at sephrorah site, and SOME stores. Good luck!!!long hair

Make up leaving me with oily skin?
I put some make up on when I wake up at like .. 6:30, by 2 my face is already looking oily.
it's just some foundation %26amp; a tiny bronzer?
suggestions?Make up leaving me with oily skin?
try that proactive make-up.Make up leaving me with oily skin?
Try using make-up that is non-comedogenic.
get those oil absorbing sheets. or use kleenex and pat on your face to absorb the oil.
Look at the ingredients on your foundation/bronzer.
Does it say that it has Mineral Oil in it?
';According to some sources, use of mineral oil cosmetics commonly leads to acne, or oily skin. Mineral oil is a substance of relatively low value, and it is produced in very large quantities.';
Basically, what that means is that mineral oil is in cheap-ish makeup, because it is produced in such quantity.
The oil clogs your pores, which makes your skin look and feel oily.
I suggest that you buy something for a dollar or two more, and if it says 'Oil Free' on it, then thats good. If in doubt, look at the ingredients to see if Mineral Oil is there.
I use oil free make-up, cover girl in a blue pack. Also, putting just a little powder over the foundation helps it not get so oily
Try using cream foundation. It is like powder and liquid mixed together. It blends into your skin more. Try using oil free make up also. Or what I do is cleanse my face before I go to bed, and the next day when I wake up, my face feels all clean and looks pretty clear. It dries up and cleanses out all the dirt oil and make up that is left in your face. Your make up won't show as much when your face looks clean. Try that. And here's a tip. Use triangular sponges. They get into every spot on your face. Not circled ones.
put powder over your liquid, and try a mousse instead of foundation

How can i make my skin less oily?
its VERY very oily, ill wash my face and a half hour later itll be almost dripping oil (disguisting, i know) and also when i wake up its very bad
im always shiny
ive tried EVERYTHING..
what can i do?How can i make my skin less oily?
What kind of products are you using? If you're using face wash for sensitive skin or a heavy moisturizer, it could be contributing to the excess oil. Look into products that are made specifically for oily skin, and try astringent - it shrinks up your pores so your skin doesn't pump out as much oil. If that doesn't do the trick, I'd suggest you see a dermatologist. It may not be as cheap as an over-the-counter solution, but the results will be worth it.
Good luck. How can i make my skin less oily?
One of my best friends has oily skin but she really keeps it under control by using blotting sheets. They're really inexpensive and really handy. Along with your usual skincare, (i would suggest using proactiv) blot your face with the sheets whenever you need it.
Powder helps too!
here's what the blotting sheets/shine eraser are. on eyeslipsface.com they're only a dollar but you have to pay a good bit for shipping. i would suggest looking for them in stores but here's the link:

An oily skin , as the name implies, is one in which the sebaceous or oil-producing glands are over active. As surface grease tends to attract dirt, an oily skin acquires a dirty surface film , that needs to be removed daily. For more details on oily skin log on to http://useinfo-oilyskin.blogspot.com/
Well I have pretty oily skin and always have. I wash my face in the morning with Vivant BP cleanser and then put on the Vivant mandelic acid toner on. And I do the same at night before I go to bed. That stuff works really good! I got it from my skin doctor. Its pretty pricey so I got on ebay and get it brand new for about $10 cheaper. I swear by that stuff much better then that proactiv crap or anything else you see on tv. Then during the day I will just powder and blotting papers if its hot outside.
Best of luck!

What type of makeup is good for oily acne prone skin?
I'm African American and have very oily skin with acne and scars and i need help finding a good foundation or powder that has good coverage, long lasting, and wont make me break out. Thanks. What type of makeup is good for oily acne prone skin?
Deena
Before any makeup goes on you need to address the oily skin issue. Like you I also have oily skin this is what I do and use. Coonobabe Pepino cleanser, followed by their Manzanillo toner. Wash with cleanser then pat dry with clean towel, then apply toner with cotton pad and allow to air dry. I repeat this during hot and humid days 2-3 times. For foundation I recommend you use their Savila base foundation for oily skin and then lightly top it off with their happy endings powder to allow it to stay for hours. Avoid blushes, go for their glosses or lipsticks.
hope this helps you.

Body shop face base! I have oily skin too :)
They come in a lot of different shades and they contain natural ingredients so they're less likely to irritate your skin. Body shop's tea tree range is also excellent for acne, I'd definately recommend it!
haha, basically - anything natural will work 8D
Best of luck xx
i think i have a solution for u...google Dinair Airbrush Makeup...ive been using it for 2 years and its amazing!!! It stays on all day and makes my skin look flawless...its also all water based so its not bad for ur skin cause it doesnt clog ur pores. They have this stuff u can put on under ur makeup that absorbs and gets rid of oil as its produced...and they also have this stuff that u put on scars that fills them back up to skin level and then u airbrush over them making them nearly disappear. I love there stuff...it really is awesome...anywho, hope i helped...=)

Does oily skin need a moisturizer?
I have oily skin. Do I still need to use a moisturizer? I'm 35 and I don't have wrinkles. I once heard that people with oily skin don't wrinkle as much because they have a natural moisturizer.. Is this true?Does oily skin need a moisturizer?
yes. but use a lightweight moisturizer that's waterbased so your skin won't be greasy. also look for hypoallergenic moisturizers, cuz that won't irritate your skin.Does oily skin need a moisturizer?
Some will tell you that if you have oily skin you want to dry it out and not moisturize but that's not really true. If your skin is oily it means that when your oil glands kick into gear they work overtime so if you keep drying out your skin, it triggers your oil glands to go to work and they produce to much oil, again and again.
It's best to keep your skin clean but well hydrated to keep your oil glands quiet. Make sure to use a good face lotion that's non-comedigenic and oil-free. I've used Olay, Neutrogena, and Biore products and they were all decent. Right now I love the Aveeno products. They have good gently cleansers and moisturizers.
Clean your skin well but then use a good lotion. I use Neutrogenas toner every evening after I wash my face to remove any makeup residue. It works great for that. I use a light lotion with SPF in the morning and a cream at night that's not heavy but it's a little more hydrating.
dry skin does wrinkle faster..howeverrrrrrrrrrr...moisturizing is the key to young looking skin. so keep moisturizing. i also have oily skin. you should use one for oily skin (i use one from clinique..its great) but still moisturize like crazy...every night! you'll have younger looking skin forever. take care of your skin now before you get wrinkles and you'll be so grateful!
Whatever you do, do not use moisturizer it is the worst thing if you have oily skin. what you should do is scrub ( with micro beads) morning and night and after that use a toner. Make sure all make up is washed off before hitting the sack
Yes, you still need Moisturizer. You need a night time one to prevent wrinkles for night and a SPF oil control moisturizer for day. The time is now to prevent wrinkles. If you wait until you have them you are going to be playing catch up.
Oily skin still needs moisturizer.
You need to to to cleanse, tone, moisturize 2x a day. once in the morning and once at night.
this one is good.

Is your whole face oily or just the t-zone? As a suggestion, research on what causes definition lines or wrinkles. Do you have oil-control moisturizer? I'd be happy to give you more details if you like.
JK
Idk about the wrinkle part but you don't need a moisturizer I would say.. you don't want to clog your skin and cause acne breakouts. They do make face lotions for oily skin though, you should check them out.
You still need to moisturize, it's very important. Maybe get an oil control moisturizer.
Hope this helps!
yeah. but if you dont want oily skin i suggest getting a green tea moisterizer

this one is good.

What is the best makeup for oily/combination skin?
Its all in the prep. Get a 3 step daily system specifically for oily/combo skin - they are great to even it out. What is the best makeup for oily/combination skin?
Well i use Maybelline's pure makeup. works great for any skin type.
the pure foundation is 50% waterbased and oil free. wont clog pores. and it wont cause breakouts. has long lasting coverage. has vitE, alow, chamomile to soothe skin. its sooo skin friendly. i LOVE this product. my classmates and schoolmates have commented me and siad i look blooming. :) its a gel/liquid foundation by the way. full coverage and you can ask a saleslady at the department store to help you find a shade that matches your skintone.
after you apply the foundation, you can use the pure concealer to cover those scars or whatever. but the foundation can give good coverage already. but to be sure about the coverage, use the concealer also. its a pencil concealer.
after concealing, touch up with the pure powder. that also includes aloe, chamomile, and vitE to soothe skin. just pat lightly onto your face. whenever you need to retouch, just use the powder. no need to apply foundation again and again. i love maybelline's puremakeup!!!!
check it: www.maybelline.com
since you have oily skin like me, you should always bring oil blotting sheets with you. if you always reapply too much powder, itll make you look all cakey and stuff. so i recommend clean and clear's oil blotting sheets, which will absorb all the oil without smearing your makeup! What is the best makeup for oily/combination skin?
Mineral Makeup such as Youngblood or Bare Escentuals. It mmakes the skin appear matte and not shiney/greasy. Works for me!
well, if you have oily skin you want to avoid any liquid concealer....make sure you use powder and a concealer stick combination....thats what i use and it works awesome:) Use the concealer stick in the places that you want to cover up and then use the powder over top to get rid of any oiliness and glossiness...
Hope this helps:)
Revlon Color Stay. I have oily skin and have been using it for years. It stays on and doesnt get shiny.
The Body Shop has an oil-balancing foundation that won't make you more oily. Just try to use oil-free or water-based foundations. Always remove makeup before bed to try and prevent clogging pores.long hair

How can I make my skin less oily?
I use Neutrogena oil free acne wash and for moisturizer I used Clean %26amp; Clear oil free moisturizer.... I switched moisturizers to Clean %26amp; Clear shine control and it made my skin develop an all over rash... I know how to get rid of the rash but how do I make my skin less oily? Makeup doesn't help! AT ALL.How can I make my skin less oily?
i have an oily nose, and i used to wear liquid foundation with powder aswell, but it was still really shiny and greasy looking.
but now i use a powder mineral foundation only, and my nose no longer looks greasy. it also covers up acne scars, freckles, etc.
i got mine from www.coastalscents.com
;DHow can I make my skin less oily?
Hmm.. I too have oily skin! It is soo annoying so I know where you're coming from..
I'll tell you what works for me. Have you ever seen Cliniques 3 step cleaning system thingy.. I'm not sure what it's called but it from Clinique. Well... they have a face wash, a exfoliator, and a moisturizer.
That is literally the ONLY thing that makes me face less oily.
If you get oily throughout the day, just carry some blotting paper with you. Works great!

Is Clinique the best brand to go get if you have oily skin?
I have oily skin and my dermatologist recommended Clinique. The type I use is ';Stay True Makeup'; it's oil free and has helped me keep the shine down. Ask a rep what powder to use...(i suggest loose) because pressed powder tends to pack down the oil when you use your pad or brush to apply. I would suggest paying a little more for something if it's going to do better! [neutragena always broke me out!]Is Clinique the best brand to go get if you have oily skin?
I'm not sure about oily skin because I have combo skin but they have 3 different types and one is for oily skin. I highly recommend trying the 3 step program. It's amazing! Is Clinique the best brand to go get if you have oily skin?
Clinique is a good brand but there are several others out there, it is really trial and error. Also some brands are more expensive than others. It is really your choice. A good and inexpensive one is Cover Girl. I personally spend a little more on Este' Lauder, but I Also use certain Mabeline items and many other brands. I not only have oily skin but I also seem to be allergic to some products so I have to some times try them and then throw them away if they don't work, and this is easier to do when the cost is kept at a minimum. Also after 6 months, if you have product left, throw it away and get a new one. There could be bacteria in it or it can expire or dry out. You can usually tell by the odor. Also keep your brushes cleaned, have several so you can wash them in soapy water or dip it in alcohol. use clean brushes weekly. let them dry in the sun. This is the same for sponges and eye applicators. things get dirty and it don't matter what kind of makeup you are using if you contaminate your face and makeup with dirty applicators. Also wash your face with appropriate cleansers to help prevent access oil, prior to putting on Makeup.
I have very oily skin, and the only thing that really helps me, especially in summertime, is Neutrogena! It will also save you money, too!
No I dont think it is. I used the Clinique line a few years ago I had the cleanser and toner and I have oily to combination skin and it broke my face out. Plus I think its over priced. I took it back to Macy's and they refunded my money as well.
Nooo I like Neutrogena
no way. i mean it really good, but neatrogeana would suit oily skin better
I love Clinique's skincare like.. Not so fond of the makeup, but I would recommend the skincare, no matter what type of skin you have.
I have very oily skin and I use 'I.D. Bare Minerals' and it works great. All of the foundations have minerals in it that help fight against oil. Also, they have this stuff called 'Mineral Veil' and its purpose is to absorb oil throughout the day. They sell it at 'ULTA' and 'Sephora'

Super oily skin thats also super dry.. How do I fix it?
This last week my skin has been really acting up. Its extremely oily but also extremely dry at the same time. I really dont know what to do or how to balance it out. I try putting on mosuirizer, but it doesnt help.. I try putting on toner..Doesnt help. If I treat one the other acts up. Leaving it alone does nothing either. Please help!Super oily skin thats also super dry.. How do I fix it?
Wash your face with your usual cleanser in the shower. Then IMMEDIATELY after you get out and dry your face, while still in the bathroom, apply moisturizer. I use Oil of Olay sensitive skin. It is light, gentle, and fragrance free.
For exfoliation I use baking soda once a week. Take a quarter cup of baking soda, add warm water to it until it is just damp and still clumps together when squeezed. Wet your face with warm water, apply baking soda to face, let dry a bit, then *thoroughly* wash away along with your cleanser while *gently* rubbing it in your skin. Face may feel a bit slippery due to baking soda. Rinse until you're satisfied it's gone. Lightly dry face. Apply moisturizer immediately.
Also try taking a vitamin E supplement, it will help the dry parts of your skin.Super oily skin thats also super dry.. How do I fix it?
go swimming.
I had a similar problem and I tried putting yogurt half an hour before bath, the oiliness is still there, somewhat subdued though, but the dryness and the associated uneasiness has disappeared. took about two weeks
i have this all that time. just take it easy on the products. use milder ones twice a day and light, oil free moisturizers

How can i make my skin less oily-looking?
i have oily skin and am 14 years old. in pics, my forehead always looks really shiny and i wanna know how i can stop that. How can i make my skin less oily-looking?
I had this problem but it's better to have oily skin because it doesn't age you as much apparantly.
I use oil free moisturizers and the only ones that have proven themselves to work are - Clinique Oil Free. And MAC for oily complexions.
Also, you should drink lots of water. And if you're wearing make up use powder but make sure you take out blotting pads or bits of powder paper, you'll be able to get both from your local chemist/drugstore.How can i make my skin less oily-looking?
For starters, consider yourself lucky. In the long run, people with oilier skin have fewer problems with wrinkles. ;o)
I would suggest the oil blotting sheets for on the spot fixes. I would NOT use astringent because that will over dry your skin and cause a whole new set of problems. Wash your face twice a day with a foaming cream cleanser (try Neutrogena). It won't over dry your skin, but will reduce excess oil and keep your skin clear.
there is this face wash called morning burst shine control...it works really well....or if you wanted you can use a powdered make up and that take the shine away
oil control moisturisor, oil blotting sheets, powder.

Use a mineral based powder. The minerals prevent oil from appearing
wear powder. and blot your face with blotting wipes. also use astringent.

What type of makeup is good for oily acne prone skin?
I'm African American and have very oily skin with acne and scars and i need help finding a good foundation or powder that has good coverage, long lasting, and wont make me break out. What type of makeup is good for oily acne prone skin?
I'm African American also, I have the same problem as you, and I'm very light, but I found out the only thing that works for me is Mineral-Makeup. I use the mineral make-up by Loreal. I only use the foundation if I'm going out to a club/bar, because when i used it everyday i noticed I would break out, so now I use the mineral make-up along with concealer almost everyday. I don't break out as much either, and I have scars too, but they are fading also. What type of makeup is good for oily acne prone skin?
Do you like your makeup products? I could not find the good product and I had a problem with my skin before. I finally got good makeup products and I tried it for free. I don't have skin problem anymore and I wanna to highly recommend you too. You can find more info at http://fly2.ws/0rE3ROm

It's not so much the brand, within each brand there are special lines and products for oily skin. You probably want bigger brands that have more to choose from. L'Oreal has 'true match' the powder is good for oily skin, Clinique also has good products for oily skin. Look for oil-free liquid foundations and powders.
I have actually found that the mineral make-up from covergirl is great for me. I have oily skin and since I started using this make-up it has been better. Not perfect, but A LOT better.

What makeups make very oily skin look matte?
I have extremely oily skin and I'll tell you two things that work for me. One is Biore Shine Control Moisturizer. If you put it under your makeup, it will help control the shine a lot. Also, try using a powder on top of your foundation. This will kind of soak up the oil and reduce the oily look. I recommend Neutrogena Mineral Sheers. They come in a tube/brush that you just dust on. They are perfect for on-the-go touch-ups! Hope this helps!!What makeups make very oily skin look matte?

ok personally i think that if you go to a department store and buy some coverup that will work PERFECTLY
What you need to do is get your oily skin under control first. I HAD really oily skin and what I did was to go Clinique and get one of the make up artist to help me find the facial care system for me (which will probably be a 3 if your skin is like mine). Then she helped me fine a make up that was a good combination with the oily skin. They are a little pricey, but completely worth it. And since oily skin sometimes has a tendancy to break out definantly wash your face when you wake up and go to bed. I hope that helped! Let me know.

What is a good all natural, preferably organic as well moisturizer for oily/acne skin?
Although there is no cure, acne treatments are available to help control breakout activity. Acne treatments are divided into three categories: topical, systemic, and procedural. The course of treatment is determined by the type and severity of acne.
Knowing your grade of acne will help you choose the most effective treatment plan. Grade I and Grade II (mild to moderate acne) can often be treated with over-the-counter products. A dermatologist must treat Grade III and Grade IV (moderately severe to severe, or cystic acne). What is a good all natural, preferably organic as well moisturizer for oily/acne skin?

My age is 24 oily skin from 7yrs i have pimples on my face & scars.what should i do?
i have also done chemical peeling for pimples now pimples has been reduced but scars have not gone.My age is 24 oily skin from 7yrs i have pimples on my face %26amp; scars.what should i do?
Try using Vitamin E pills and cutting off the top and putting the oil on your face. It helps fade faster. Bio Oil also works however after it initially lightens the scars then it loses it's effect. Use a moisturizer with Retinol which is another form of Vitamin A as it helps remove dead skin cells and clear up the scars over time. I've also heard of skin bleaching kits, but even though it visiably hides scars it damages underneath the skin.
Natural remedies are lemon juice and tomates.

Scars cure over time so the best thing you can do is prevent future scarring by not picking at your face. Try a new moisturizer because your face is obviously not reacting well with that you are currently using. I recommend Oil-Free Neutrogena.
gt clean and clear oil absorbing sheets. really works. and use mederma for scars.

Question about water affecting oily skin?
Is it true that drinking lots of water makes your body produce less oils? And perhaps less acne?Question about water affecting oily skin?
But drinking water helps to cleanse your body of toxins and the less toxins in your body will help to improve your complexion.Question about water affecting oily skin?
No, that isn't true.
If it's either a cup, or a liter of water. It's not going to change the amount of oil secreted.

Can a person with oily skin wear mineral makeup?
Certainly, and here's where to get some http://www.marykay.com/mrscassandralaneCan a person with oily skin wear mineral makeup?
Yes but it cannot be any of the POWDER minerals because they contain bismuth and other pore clogging ingredients.
You need to get Bee Luscious Cosmetics Liquid Minerals its hypo allergenic and made for all skin types. It will never clog your pores and leaves skin flawless and gorgeous. Can a person with oily skin wear mineral makeup?
I sure think so. I suggest Bare Minerals. It's a bit expensive, but it's amazing. It's a powder and you can't even feel it but it covers SO well. I have mixed skin with some dry and some oily, and this stuff is great for it. It wont dry you out or make you look all shiny. It's great.
i sound like I'm a spokesperson. I'm not :)
It's just good stuff.

all powder foundations are good for oily skin especially mineral ones because the wont clog up your pores

I usually wear contacts but i've heard wearing them too much isn't good for your eyes so now as soon as i go home,i switch. But since i have oily skin(this is going to sound weird) but afterwhile i tend to have like a oily spot where the little plastic thing rests on your nose.I'm afraid I might start to break out there,is there any cure? And i don't wear makeup,i don't have much acne.Just oilies. What to do with oily skin and glasses? (10 pts)?
thats not odd at all! i have the same worry! i started putting tea tree oil (the body shop has one in a roll on you can just throw in your bag) on the spot where the glasses hit, and just reapply it throughout the day. it kills bacteria, dries up the oil for at least a few hours with each application and is really good for treating blemishes as well, so if you breakout anywhere on your face, its a great spot treatment as wellWhat to do with oily skin and glasses? Sometimes if your skin is dry it will make more oils to make it moist. Try buying an oil free moisturizer and putting it on every night before bed. also if your a Teen, oily skin will ost likely go away when your done growing.
Cleanse your pores in that area. It should help you probably won't break out there but it is possible.
-sigh-
unfortunately, we do not have magical powers to stop unwanted oil on our faces.
i recommend oil pads from clean and clear.
i guess it works.long hair

A good face wash for man with oily skin, cheap from store?
prone to acne, he will probably not use a face lotion regularlyA good face wash for man with oily skin, cheap from store?
the st. ives face scrub works WONDERFULLY. i use that in the shower every morning and then follow up with clearasil.
there are generic versions of both of those face washes that would be cheaper to buy, and i'm sure they work just as well.
hope that helps.A good face wash for man with oily skin, cheap from store?
You can ask him to try this remedy.Wash face twice a day in warm salty water. This should leave face oil free without aggravating the pimples like soap. More such solutions at http://solutionsforpimples.blogspot.com/
I use the regular Dial bar soap. My face is always oily but I've outgrown the acne stage. The trick is to wash a bit more frequently! ;-)=
I use wal-marts version of st ives face scrub, the kind with the grit in it. works great.

~AnnaAcne treatment/wash for semi oil to oily skin?
I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.
I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.
I'm 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.
Literally the best acne face wash I've ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It's unique cause of it's herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.
You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn't work it will still save you butt on the return policy.
Well good luck and best wishes.

I have really bad oily skin and i am tried of going from one cleanser to another help me`what should i do?
Use a toner after you cleanse. A toner is an astringent which dries/abosrbs the oil from you face. That and try blotting sheets to abosrb excess oil during the day.I have really bad oily skin and i am tried of going from one cleanser to another help me`what should i do?
Stop eating oily foods. There're soooo bad for you!I have really bad oily skin and i am tried of going from one cleanser to another help me`what should i do?
You do not need to randomly start tossing astringent on it, and you also don't need to worry about eating oily foods (which ARE bad for you, but don't impact your skin).
One of the worst ironies of oily skin is that some of the products you may use on it will confuse the skin into producing MORE oil! Oily skin is producing a lot of oil because it senses (wrongly) that the oil is needed. If you use products that strip that oil, then the skin senses THAT and produces even more oil!
What I suggest is that you go to one of the makeup counters like Clinique or Estee Lauder and get on a good cleansing and moisturizing system as instructed by them. Then stay on it for 6 months. You may just simply have oily skin and will have it for a long time- but changing products a lot may cause more problems like acne and irritation. If, after 6 months, your skin has improved (even slightly) or has stayed the same, you are probably on a good program. Clearly, if it has gotten worse then you need to go back and ask for more help. But give it a long while to let your skin stablize before judging the regimine.
Carry blotting sheets with you to mattify the oil throughout the day or go to MAC and get Blot Powder, which is PURE GENIUS!: it's only 3% pigment, the rest is silica which is meant to absorb oil without adding to or changing your makeup or skin. It's better than blotting sheets IMO.
I just worked with a woman who was 54 and has had severely oily skin even now, after menopause. It does happen from time to time, and sometimes you just need to learn how to cope with it.
Sorry. That's probably not what you want to hear, but I just wanted to be real with you! ;)
PS: You don't say if you're also acneic. Not all oily skin is, but if you are make sure you get an acne treatment product while you're also getting your skincare plan! :)
i have an oily skin too but i just ignore it... and i never had pimple breakout
If you have oily skin it's best to use a product just for oily/combination skin ! Use a neutrogena Deep Cleansing ACNE wash, also use a toner.. I like witch hazel it's cheap and alcohol free ! Wash your face in the morning/night and use toner and moisturize.. Also, if you have longhair/bangs.. It's a really good idea to use a headband, scarf or even an old t-shirt sleeve to keep the hair off your face... ALSO, it's good to use a moisturizer tailored for oily skin.. I like to exfoliate my face 1-2 times a week I have sensitive skin so I just use a bit of baking soda with my cleanser it removes dirt/oil w/o making my skin all red/itchy.. It's cheap and generally something that everyone has in the house ! For occassional breakouts.. I like to use an ';On the spot acne'; gel which is clear and can be applied to clean/dry skin under make-up.. It's great to use at night before bed, wake up to zit free skin.. Also, try not to touch your face.. Your fingers are dirty and spread dirt/oil... Drink plenty of water and eat healthy... Maybe try a multivitamin...
MAC girl has some good advice. My skin used to be super oily and after trying every cleanser on the market it tuned out to be the sunscreens in my moisturizers. Try a light moisturizer with no sunscreen ( i LOVE mario badescu buttermilk moisturizer) in combo with a deep cleaning face wash like neutrogena oil free acne wash. blotting papers work wonders too for mid day touch ups. Eating non greasy foods won't do anything to stop you skin from being oily. Drink plenty of water though.
Also, your skin could be getting more oily as a result of you trying to stop it from being oily. Sounds crazy but if you constantly strip you skin of all its oil it will overcompensate for that by producing major amounts of oil to try to keep your skin from drying out. Mild solutions are best here because you don't want to end up with flaky oily skin either. Astringents are ok to use once in a while but i have found that if i use them every day my skin gets very dry.
On the up side, people with oily skin types do not get as many wrinkles as those with other skin types :) Later in life you can sit back and laugh at all the dry wrinkled girls and think of how your battle against the oil was worth it.
Rub lemon and wash it after drying
go to a doctor
An oily skin , as the name implies, is one in which the sebaceous or oil-producing glands are over active. As surface grease tends to attract dirt, an oily skin acquires a dirty surface film , that needs to be removed daily. For more details log to http://useinfo-oilyskin.blogspot.com/long hair

What is the best skin care products for very oily/acne prone skin?
I am 31 and looking for something that will help clear up my skin and help lighten the scars. After I became pregnant with my kids, my body chemistry changed and I have been battling very bad acne on my face, neck, chest and back ever since. Has anyone tried the dermalogica line? I started using the Murad anti-bacterial body spray and that has helped on my chest/sholders, but not on my back. What is the best skin care products for very oily/acne prone skin?
i would recommend proactive. it really helps! you can also use proactive on your neck, chest and back areas to help reduce acne. the three step system helps reduce redness, acne, and leaves your skin less oily. What is the best skin care products for very oily/acne prone skin?
you can use clean and clear for oily skin that works but for best bet you have to use it in the morning and before you go to sleep everyday
Ive been using ProActive for the past year and haven't had a breakout or a glimpse of a zit. It is miraculous! Expensive, but miraculous and my skin looks and feels so healthy. Try it and you'll be addicted.

those astringents do help a lot with oily skin as it completely dries it out. then you'll need some sort of moisturizer with acne med in it to balance it out.
I LOVE Arbonne International. I recently went off my birth control pills and my teenage skin came back. I had to switch all of my make up, and tried everything from Avon to Proactiv. Arbonne is incredible. It is all natural. If you would like, I can give you a contact at Arbonne. She is wonderful, and always gives full size freebies!!
