Is mineral makeup good for oily skin?

I have combination skin...my t-zone gets very shiny and oily and I usually need to touch up a couple of times a day. I don't have acne but my skin does get minor breakouts once a month. I know that mineral makeup is supposes to be good for the skin and actually soothe and heal it. Unfortunately I tried Bare Escentuals and am one of the few people who were not impressed. It looked thick and cakey and shiny. I don't need foundation like coverage because my complexion is good. I just need a powder. I searched it on sephora and there are a lot of brands that make mineral makeup now. Are there any suggestions as to which are good for oily skin? ThanksIs mineral makeup good for oily skin?
i have oily skin i was also not happy with bare essentials it was to thick and didnt match my skin tone AT ALL!! but yes mineral make up is alot better for your skin because it does not clog your pours. I am now using Dechant Sheer Minerals which is AWSOME plus i wash my face with CETAPHIL Daily Facial Cleanser it makes my face feel SOOOOOO CLEAN try it it works for me. =)

here is the website for the makeup

I tried a mineral make-up and I ended up with more shine to my face. I just stuck with a liquid foundation followed by the old tried %26amp; true ';Cornsilk Oil Absorbing Powder'; that comes in a matte finish.
You can consider using miho makeup series, 2 way foundation and base colour. It has very smooth texture and helps to moisturize the skin. The miho base colour acts as a moisturizer before you put on the miho powder.

Product available online and not sold in any departmental store.
I like the Neutrogena Sheer Minerals Powder. It's very light and Neutrogena products are know for being very gentle and healthy for your skin. It gets rid of the shine and oils and is very sheer. You could also try using their toner after washing your face to help remove excess oil from your face before applying any makeup.
Ohhh! I had the same problem.I use Physicians Formula Loose Powder, because it's very light and easy! Try it!

It's $9 at Target, CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, and some other conveinience stores.

HIGHLY recommended! Hope this helped!
