Try Revlon Colorstay. There are two formulas: oily/combo and dry/normal to fit your skin type. They also have a wide selection of colors and tones to ensure that you will find the right match. The coverage is good but natural at the same time. And as the name suggests, it stays on for a long period of time!
They're usually around $12 but are frequently on sale for buy one get one free.
If you have oily skin you might want to use a powder. I really like Physicians formula mineral makeup. It gives great coverage for a powder, has nice shades, and is around $10. If you like liquid Almay Truly Lasting Color is great as well.
i highly recommend the Revlon Colorstay Foundation. They have specific types for combination to oily skins, alotta different shades, and good coverage.

Well I have the same problem I just started using mac and it really works It honestly is worth the money
