I dont want to have to be fixing my face every five minutes because my makeup has worn off. I also have acne that I would like to cover up.I have oily skin, but dont want to have a shiny face for prom pics. any sugestions on what makeup would fix it
I have very oily skin.





And I use neturogena oil controlling cleanser before putting on any makeup. For foundation I use Clinique perfectly real compact makeup, which is very natural looking and not heavy.





Keep some oil absorbing sheets to dab your face during the event. It won't take the makeup off.

I recommend looking for something that is specifically for oily skin, preferably one that is 'oil control'. You'll want to also use an oil control powder over it.





For the acne, I know it can be expensive, but try Proactive. It really worked for me and I had horrible acne. (Just order it, then cancel the monthly shipment after you receive your first shipment. Then you can just order it when you need it instead of paying for it every month.)
I know exaclty what you mean. Try a good moiteriser that is reccomended for shine (garnier, witch). After your moiteriser use a concealer (non-greasy) to cover up blemishes (witch concealer). Then use some type of foundation and make up that has 'matt efect' which means no shine.

Stay away from liquid foundation, instead use a pressed powder that matches your skin tone. The powder will help absorb the oil and kill the shine. A great brand of mineral pressed powder is by Jane Iredale.
The best makeup that will fix it is Bare minerals foundation...it makes you skin less shiny and it is natural looking and not oily....it covers acne and lasts long...
Pick make-up products that are labeled oil control. Furthermore, always keep handy a packet of oil-blotting facial sheets to pat your face with just before you say ';Cheese!'; I recommend Shiseido Pureness or Gatsby Oil Clear (both of these are un-powdered so they won't cause cakiness in already-applied makeup).
